Daisy

This painting was from a photograph my daughter Poppy had taken of her sister Daisy, who had fallen asleep in her little attic apartment in Paris. I used to love to visit Daisy in Paris, but restricted my outings into the streets, because the journey home, up those flights of stairs to Daisy’s garret, completely knackered me. The painting was influenced by Toulouse Lautrec’s brothel interiors.
