Mr A Dancing

I love the movement of this picture of Fred Astaire dancing with Cyd Charisse in a clever Mickey Spillane pastiche from the film Silk Stockings, directed by Vincent Minnelli. Again, it’s from the set of pictures that Mr A had given to me on one of my Hollywood visits. The original photograph was black and white, but I felt the painting looked better in these subdued tones, rather than bright colour.
